Il suono organico di un amplificatore a valvole spinto verso la rottura è stato lo standard d'oro fin da quando i musicisti hanno iniziato a sperimentare con toni overdriven e distorti.
La compressione dolce e naturale e il ricco mix di armoniche pari e dispari prodotte dalla circuiteria a valvole analogica rendono qualsiasi segnale più potente, incisivo e vivo. A differenza dei circuiti a transistor a stato solido e fuzz che producono solo armoniche dispari e limitano il segnale in ingresso in modo soggettivamente innaturale e poco reattivo, Redoptor risponde in modo fluido alle dinamiche del materiale sorgente, proprio come un vero amplificatore a valvole. Questo significa che i segnali forti vengono saturati con più crunch e armoniche deliziose, per poi tornare gradualmente al loro stato pulito man mano che la coda di rilascio si attenua. Questo consente distorsioni dinamiche e sonicamente piacevoli.
