Il PSP Impressor è un compressore ad alta precisione, incredibilmente accurato e completo, progettato per elaborare mix completi, bus o tracce singole. Il PSP Impressor emula le caratteristiche classiche magiche dei compressori con circuiti a valvole e opto-elettronici, così come dei compressori moderni classici. Il PSP Impressor presenta anche una side-chain altamente configurabile. Il filtro della side-chain ha un effetto significativo sul suono e sul funzionamento del PSP Impressor. A seconda delle impostazioni del filtro della side-chain, il filtro consente anche di utilizzare il compressore come de-esser o per ridurre gli effetti di pompaggio di pesanti batterie e simili.
Il PSP Impressor funziona anche molto bene in combinazione con il PSP Saturator. Con il PSP Impressor prima del PSP Saturator nel percorso del segnale (pensalo come posizionare un compressore da bus prima di una macchina a nastro), puoi utilizzare entrambi i plug-in simultaneamente (utilizzando impostazioni sottili!) per conferire un suono molto coeso, come se il tuo mix fosse stato prodotto su hardware analogico costoso. Naturalmente, puoi anche invertire l'ordine, posizionando il PSP Saturator prima del PSP Impressor - non avere mai paura di sperimentare!
